Vaishno Devi Temple History
When the population of the ungodly was increasing on the earth. And religion was being destroyed. Then the three incarnations of Adishakti like Mata Laxmi, Mata Durga, and Mata Saraswati, together with revealed a woman.
This woman was born in Tretayuga to a Pandit Ratnakar in village Rameshwar, South India. Pandit named this daughter Vaishnavi. After the age of nine, Vaishnavi came to know that Lord Vishnu has also taken the incarnation of Rama at this Yuga. Then she accepted Rama as her husband and started doing penance to get him.
After Sita’s abduction, when Ram reached Rameshwar in search of Sita, he saw this woman doing penance named Vishnu on the beach. Then Vaishnavi asked Rama to become her husband.
But Rama said that he had already married Sita. Then later he said that if he will take Kalki incarnation in Kali Yuga, then she can become my wife. After saying this, he ordered that till then you should do penance in the Trikuta mountain of the Himalayas. And do welfare to the people of the earth.
Then Vaishnavi is still doing penance on the Trikuta mountain of Jammu, waiting for the Kalki of Kaliyuga. Which is known today as three stone-shaped bodies in the cave of Mata Vaishno Devi. Which is in the main Bhavan.
